Ethereal Revelation Light
An abstract light diffuser inspired by The Creation of Adam, exploring connection, tension, color, and emotion through illuminated stained-glass-like surfaces.

Overview
Ethereal Revelation explores light as emotion. Inspired by stained glass and Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam, the design abstracts the nearly touching fingers into a geometric composition that captures tension, movement, and connection.
Process
Exploring
Designed multiple iterations for an abstract art piece. After exploring several geometric compositions, the final direction was inspired by The Creation of Adam.

Reference Study
The Creation of Adam was studied for composition, movement, balance, and emotional tension. The nearly touching fingers became the focal point, generating tension and emotional impact.

Final Design Direction
The final abstract composition translated the hands, focal point, and surrounding movement into angular geometric sections. Bright acrylic colors created contrast, rhythm, and a stained-glass-inspired effect.

Prototyping
Different frame shapes were tested to determine how the LED light would sit within the piece. The lit frame was tested with acrylic to study glow and color diffusion.

Fabrication
Each colored acrylic piece was laser cut, arranged, and assembled using acrylic plastic cement. The final frame and acrylic work were assembled together and tested as a complete illuminated piece.

Final
The final piece transforms an iconic moment of connection into a glowing abstract composition. Through colored acrylic, geometric fragmentation, and LED illumination, Ethereal Revelation creates a stained-glass-inspired light diffuser that shifts between artwork and atmosphere.
